Safari Zone
PokéSurvival's catch-only reserve at spawn — ten areas, level-5 Pokémon, and a roster that rotates every three months
The PokéSurvival Safari Zone sits at the north edge of spawn (warp: Safari Zone). It works like the PokéWorld Safari Zone — pay the Safari Ranger, take your Safari Balls, and catch what you can in tall grass and water until the balls run out or you step over the boundary — with three differences:
- It costs 1,000 coins a run.
- There are no Pokéblock Feeders.
- The roster rotates by calendar quarter. Each area has four different pools across the year, so a species you want may only appear for three months.
Every Pokémon here is level 5. The encounter menu (Throw Ball, Razz Berry, Throw Rock, Run), flee and catch behaviour, and the hidden-ability and shiny-window rolls are the same as the PokéWorld zone — see that guide for the details.
Entry & Safari Balls
- Cost: 1,000 coins, paid to the Safari Ranger at the gate.
- Base balls: 30 per run.
- Rank bonus on top: Pro +5, Elite +10, Expert +15, Champion +20, Legend +25.
- Event bonuses stack on top of the rank bonus when one is running.
Running out of balls returns you to the gate. Leaving the zone’s boundary ends the run early — “You left the Safari Zone!” — and any unspent balls are forfeit. Pokémon cannot be summoned inside, and the whole zone grants water breathing so the surfing areas are safe to explore.
The quarterly rotation
| Window | Months |
|---|---|
| Q1 | January – March |
| Q2 | April – June |
| Q3 | July – September |
| Q4 | October – December |
Pools switch over at midnight on the first of the month. A species that appears in two non-adjacent windows is listed in both columns below.
Areas
Tiers are relative to the other Pokémon in that area during that window. Water areas are surf-only — their Pokémon roll on water or ice tiles, never in grass.
Entrance
The grassland just inside the gate. Normal- and Flying-types with a scattering of starters and babies at the very bottom of the pool.

Tips
- Check the month first. If what you want is in a different column, it is not in the zone right now — no amount of balls will change that.
- Starters are seasonal. The Kanto through Unova starters are scattered across the areas as Ultra-Rares, each in only one or two windows. The Entrance, Orange Desert, Eastern Desert and Jungle areas hold the Grass and Fire starters; the North River holds the Water ones.
- Lapras has two homes. The Desert Oasis in Q3–Q4 and the East Pond in Q3–Q4.
- Save balls for the bottom tier. The babies of the pseudo-legendary lines — Bagon, Deino, Beldum, Larvitar, Gible, Axew — are the rarest rolls in the zone, each limited to one or two windows.
