Defensive item with offensive intent: a special tank that still hits hard. Common on Pokémon with high HP / decent base SpD that want to absorb special hits while pressuring back — Conkeldurr, Slaking, Tornadus-Therian, Magearna. The status-move ban is the trap; Recover, Roost, and Toxic are all off the table.
